This combination represents the beginning
of our long stated goal of carefully uniting the very best of
german working and (old) show/herding lines.
Faskus has gone to live with Sharon
& Ralph and their family. He is a real little character:
"he's 90% fiend and 10% angel . . . very easy to train, intelligent
and catches on very quickly, he's quite head strong and very protective,
he's got a bark like a proper dog, the other night when he spotted
a neighbour having a late night bonfire in the garden, we discovered
he's got one hell of a growl too."
"the tiny puppy you bred,(one baby photo enclosed) has turned
into the most beautiful dog he has indeed grown since the photos
were taken. Have you been crossing german shepherds with shetland
ponies for long?
Training is going well and he likes it (for 40 mins) the other
20 is taken up with trying to escape or playing with a spanial
puppy called Daisy whom he adores. His favorite toy right now,
is a pine log he found in the garden, he carries it around with
him, he's stripped the thing of all its bark and now he just carries
it around, he won't fetch, chase a ball or anything like that,
just sits there and looks at you like your mad, he does however
play with meg and they get on really well, he likes to watch her
chase the ball and then he charges after her, goes down ,works
out where she'll be when he makes a
move, and then charges off to intercept her on her return with
the ball, then he floors her and nicks the ball! He just sits
there with the ball like a lump and Meg takes it back and the
game goes on."
At 1 Year old:
"We think he's gorgeous and he is huge, although you can't
tell the scale of him in the middle of a field, his latest nickname
is " Bullhead " he uses it as a battering ram to open
doors! unfortunately he tries to open locked doors too and just
keeps at it until someone opens it or the hinges fly off ....
job done. "
