July 2010 We are expecting pups from Zizi around 24th July. After finally working out that Zizi ovulates very early in her cycle and stands for a very short time, we have been successful in mating her to our own stud dog, Horand (H). There will be black and tan puppies and sable puppies available to suitable homes. Zizi is a daughter of the outstanding DDR dog 'Quiyk von Grafental' and moves our strong West German bitch line forward through the outcrossing to solid working blood bringing character, agility and strength of nerve. Horand represents the development and progress of our male line, which again was predominantly West German. For Horand's generation we outcrossed to the best of British and Belgian working lines bringing higher drive, intelligence and desire to work. This litter sees the recombination of our male and female line following the outcrossings on both sides to good working blood. At the heart of the pedigree remains the traditional West German conformation blood providing the harmonious, balanced beauty. The heart of the pedigree is then wrapped around by working blood to seal the strength of character and guard against certain undedirable show line traits such as curved (roachy) backs, weak hindquarters and fearful temperaments. May 2009 The I litter - is here!
Freya had her puppies throughout the night of 22nd May 2009. There was one black and tan boy and three sable girls all very strong and healthy! the sire is Condor. Due to the level of interest in this combination this is a repeat of the H-Litter breeding we did last year. See H Litter link below for details and updates on pups from that llitter.
